West Hill Wasps 2, West Exe 2 Wasps, with the influential Tom Simmons and Charlie Pulin missing, were denied all three points in a league game for only the second time this season.

Wasps began brightly with Ollie Benson prominent on the left wing.

Oliver Pugsley had a shot well saved before the visitors took the lead with home keeper Jordan Fowler having no chance with a deflected strike. Parity was restored when Pugsley crossed for Max Thomas to net. After the break the Exeter-based side regained the lead despite a valiant attempt to keep it our by young Fowler.

The reintroduction of Pugsley, given a rest earlier in the contest, was the catalyst to Wasps again taking control and it was no more than they deserved when Tom Rush released Jack Hatswell who promptly danced round the keeper to level. Ben Marsh and Bailey Wallace shared the Wasps Man of the match award.
