The penultimate match in the Lane competition last week was an overall win for Sidmouth by two points.

The penultimate match in the Lane competition last week was an overall win for Sidmouth by two points. Home teams: B Jones, P Harvie, S Graham, P Bissell 29-18; C Turner, P Norvill, K Valentine, A Newman 26-11. Away at Kingsley, North Devon: A Tredget, E Taylor, S Burnand, S Lewis 15-18; J Green, S Haywood, J Fricker, R Mullin 4-25.The ladies also played a friendly against Budleigh Salterton and won the match by just one shot.The Mixed Easter Drive produced a win for Brian Smith, Gill Cronk, Mary Bristow and Richard Stubbs. The Ladies' Singles Final proved a very close and well played match, and was scheduled earlier than usual to allow the winner to play in the Devon Champion of Champions at Isca on Sunday, April 6. This Singles competition was between Marie Wall and Anne Tredget. With the score standing at 19-17, Anne managed to get all the four shots required to finish the match 21-19. Members wish her luck in the next round.
