The early season continued with another internal game between the teams of secretary Derek Hunt and the match secretary, Stuart Spencer.
the result was a win for the match secretary - 70-47.
The first friendly outdoor match of 2011 was away to Tiverton People’s Park, giving the home team the win 119-75. The Ladies’ v Gents’ match resulted in a narrow win for the men.
In the match at Madiera, Terri Ward, Derek Hunt, Tony Luff and Freda Hunt, of Ottery, had a "hot shot", winning the end 8-0. In the match, both clubs won on three rinks and lost on three rinks. The result was close - Madiera winning by 130-117. The first touring team to visit Ottery was the Borough of Eye, a team from Suffolk. They proved to be too strong, winning the game 123-94.
Bovey Tracey was the next home game, in which Ottery had a good 120-89 win.
