Sidmouth Warriors Under-8s were 2-0 winners in their meeting with Pinhoe Spartans.

It proved to be the perfect way for Warriors to conclude their competitive action in 2015.

The first half was a close affair with neither side able to get the better of the others defence.

It all changed after the break when Alistair Mounoury beat two players prior to setting up Lucas Vickery to rifle the ball home.

The Pins hit back and were twice denied an equaliser by some terrific work from Warriors glovesman Jamie White and tremendous defending from the ever-reliable Stepan Hovora were not to avail.

Victory was sealed for Warriors when, after some fine inter-passing between Ethan Isaac and Mounoury gave Lucas O’Connor the chance to power through Pins defence and net.

All six of the Warriors players involved on the morning contributed to a fine display.

Warriors coaching dup Andrew O’Connor and Seb Mounoury would like to wish all Sidmouth Junior Vikings a very merry Christmas and now hopefully everyone can enjoy the festive break and return ready for more action in the New Year.
