Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC) men’s third team were unable continue their recent good form as they slipped to a 5-3 defeat at Chard
The loss to the Somerset side leaves SOHC in fifth place – Chard moved above them as a result of the victory.
Unlike their previous performances, the team was unable to maintain possession for any decent passages of play and the robust hosts took advantage.
Tom Jeacock bagged a brace and the other SOHC goal was scored by Jon Mutter.
This Saturday (November 4), the third XI are back in South East Two action with a game at Sidmouth against Taunton CS A (1.30pm).
