John Jones won the Sidmouth Jewellers stableford at Sidmouth last Friday with a formidable 43 points which left him seven points clear of his nearest rival, writes George Carr.
Jones carded a remarkable seven birdies for a gross 63 on the day to claim the top sweep money and no doubt an adjustment to his already meagre handicap.
Jonathan Lee claimed second spot from CC (Chris) Roberts on countback.
Both players finishing on 36 points with Roberts seeing a further adjustment in his handicap - a reward, no doubt, for the time he invests in his game.
