Sidmouth Raiders Under-8s netted their first double triumph of the season in meeting with Whipton and Walter Dawe Raiders, writes Freddie Roberts.
First up against Whipton, first half goals from Charlie Roberts and Oliver Loosemore, coupled with a second half effort from Josh O’Connor put them into a three goal lead. The hosts got one back, but Raiders’ ended deserved winners.
The second match saw them take on Walter Daw.
Goals from Charlie Roberts and Oliver Loosemore once again saw them into half-time with a two goal cushion. Tactical changes were made after the break with birthday boy Mark O’Connor bringing Raiders keeper Oliver Keast out of goal. Young Keast did not disappoint with a great shift on the right wing and he netted a brace of goals. Oliver Beech netted two more and single goals Josh O’Connor and Freddie Doorman saw Raiders to an emphatic 8-0 success.
