Kerridge and Malcolm make winning start to defence of the Streatham Trophy

The start of the Streatham Trophy has been ‘blessed’ with the onset of winter weather, writes Hugh Dorliac.
The format for this competition is one of betterball and played over four legs with the best three scores going into the final which will take place next March.
As regular as winter follows autumn, so the golden pairing of Trevor Kerridge and Allan Malcolm began their third defence of the trophy by winning on Saturday with a strong 41 points in the first leg.
This year they are being given a run for their money as Ken Mylne and Mike Davis and Stuart Coles with Richard Powell also scored 41, but lost out on countback.
Still, it makes for an interesting competition when consistency will be key. Watch this space!
