Kevin Howe showed the benefit of lessons with PGA Professional Ben Thorn when he won the latest Sidmouth Jewellers Friday Stableford with a massive 44 points, writes Chris Roberts.
Challenge Cup winner Terry O’Brien finished second with 39 points, two clear of John Jones.
James Spiller tied up the Friday League when he finished level with his nearest challenger, Jonathan Lee, on 32 points.
Lee will now be fighting it out with Jones and Mark Thomas for the runnersup spot in the final round of the competition this week.
