Olympic event rider Mary King MBE is driving around in a new Mitsubishi Outlander after being chosen, along with dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin, to be brand ‘ambassadors’.
She said: “ It is very modern and nearly drives itself.It is great being linked to Mistubishi having won their trophy at Badminton Horse Trials.”
King has one eye on the weather as she and daughter Emily, 17, are aiming to take eight horses to the first event of the season at Moreton in Dorset. She said: “This week we have been able to school the horses on grass for the first time and I hope we have another dry week so the season goes ahead. It’s busy now with Emily home - I am used to having my five or six horses and Emily’s out in the field being ridden when she could manage, and now we have 12 in work!”
She and Emily are taking all the young horses to Moreton and also running the Intermediate horses in the Open novice class over the two days,
