EVENTER Mary King has just returned from the first two-day GB Olympic team training session with her top horses Call Again Cavalier and Imperial Cavalier. During the training Zara Phillips' horse Toytown was ruled out after damaging a ligament in his leg, and her team replacement will be selected from the Reserve list after Barbury Horse Trials at the beginning of July. l Locally owned King's Fancy finished second in the International 3* Bramham Horse Trials last weekend. Nancy, as the horse is known at home, is jointly owned by Hazel Fastnedge of Branscombe and Jill Robinson. It was only the mare's second outing at 3* level, having finished 12th at Boekelo last season. Mary said: "Dressage isn't her best phase but she is very fast and bold cross country and was brilliant. She pulled up from sixth to second after showjumping clear on the final day over a difficult track." King's Fancy was rerouted to Bramham after coming unstuck at the tricky skinny fences at Saumur in France, two weeks ago. Plenty of training since then paid off. Younger half sister King's Temptress was 16th, having put in a brave and bold cross country performance. "She had three showjumps down but she was tired after going so well the day before. I was very pleased with both of them," said Mary.
