Ladies Invitation Day was held at Sidmouth Golf Club in August and, despite a short sharp shower, we were very lucky not to have flooding like some of the south west.
Fun and good golf scores were order of the day - the winning team with a visitor was Lady Captain Mo Kendall, partnering with Sue Barr from Crediton for a great 43 points, coming second with 41 were Vanessa Ireson and Ann Short from Fingle Glen.
Home team winners were Linda Reynolds and Rosemary Norrish with a fantastic 49 points, winning on count back from Ann Willoughby and Catherine Walden.
It proved that knowledge of the Sidmouth greens definitely helps the scores!
No '2s' were recorded but a generous raffle was held with lots of winners. It was a terrific way to help complete a successful summer of golf at Sidmouth, as players now begin to dig out the winter wheels and woolly hats.
