BLUE BALL LANDLORDS Roger and Linda Newton weren't short of somewhere to celebrate when their horse, Front Page, won the maiden at a rain-lashed Bratton Down, Exmoor, where the Dulverton West point to point was held on Saturday. Front Page is trained at Sidbury by Monique Pike and the mare was bred by Monique and her husband Stewart, out of their good race mare Front Cover. The team will be bidding for Restricted success at the same course in a week's time.Roger was hobbling about on crutches as he has just had a knee replacement operation. l Pippa Glanville, daughter of Herald sports editor Lee, won her first PTP pony race at the same meeting. She powered home by half a length in the 138cm race on Ravara Superted, beating current Synderborough Farm Rising Stars points championship leader Bronze Lawrance (Hannah Welch).
