At Torquay, Norman Brimson skipping, with Brian Smith, Mike Smith and Cliff Hewett, was narrowly beaten by one shot, having led all the way to the 18th end, when Torquay were lucky enough to trail the jack and pick up a four. Disappointing not to win, but a good effort by all our players.

On Sunday, the club travelled to Torquay for a four rink match against Torbay.
The overall result was a win for Torbay by 92- 71. Sidmouth’s one winning rink was a well-deserved 25-13 win for skip, Adelina Constable, ably supported by Betty Farmer, David Lever and Wendy Limpus.
Skip Adelina did have her troubles on one particular end, when 12 bowls finished in the ditch, but she still managed a two shot win on that end. Well done to all our players for their efforts against some strong opposition this week.
