Beer Albion secured a well-earned point in a 3-3 draw away at Newton St Cyres in a Macron Premier Division game last Saturday, writes Richard Honnor.
The Fishermen took the lead through Chris Long, but then conceded two sloppy goals to trail 2-1.
Centre Back Joe Adkin levelled the scores before the break. The match turned in favour of the home side when they went 3-2 up after Beer’s Jack Harwood was red-carded, but the Fishermen salvaged a point through a 92nd minute equaliser from player-manager Richard Walker.
This Saturday (September 23), Beer first team are at home to Hatherleigh Town in a Macron Premier Division fixture. Kick-off at the Furzebrake is at 3pm and the match sponsor is East Devon Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic of Sidford.
