Sidbury Fair fun run, once again sponsored by the farmers of the village, will take place on Sunday, September 14, at 11.30am. Runners, joggers and walkers, from tots to veterans are welcome to take part in the event that will be started by Sir John Cave from the centre of the village. The course, split for juniors and adults, passes through the scenic setting of Sidbury Manor, climaxing on Evergreen Hill where spectacular views can be seen by walkers and runners alike. "The fun run is a wonderful family event during Sidbury Fair week. It seems to grow in popularity each year," said organiser Monique Pike. This year the fair week starts on Friday, September 12, with the tug of war and hog roast in the Millennium Field.The village hall and parish rooms provide changing facilities (no showers) and are the venue for refreshments, bar and prize giving after the walk.
