The most FAQ at the Women's Running Network headquarters in Exeter this week has been 'when is the next one?'A stunning December morning at Bicton College witnessed the start of a WRN 10k race - more than 200 women from all over the West Country, of all abilities, shapes and hair colours participated in a challenging but glorious 10k route from the College and including most of the hills in the surrounding area. The race was competently won by Jane Swift. It was open to all women, not just WRN members, and for some it was their introduction to 'off-road' running and also to the distance of 10k. It was thrilling to see women running their first 10k race ever and for some their first 'off road' event with such enthusiasm and humour but the prize probably goes to the group from Axe Valley Runners who could be heard from a mile away! The college and grounds at Bicton looked wonderful, the sun shone throughout and the organisation and marshals were outstanding!
