Sidmouth lady golfers played for the Gertie Skinner cup on Wednesday, writes Penny Ashby.

This competition is open to all those who have won medal divisions throughout the season.

On a wet and windy day this was not an easy task, but Julie Lye rounded off a very good season with a convincing win on a score of net 70.

The runner-up was Sheila Skittrall with a score of net 74.
