Lyme Regis racing driver Craig Moore has become the first champion, in the 10-year history of the Bridge Tyres and Wheels Wiscombe Park Hill Climb championship, to successfully defend his crown.
Moore achieved this amazing feat but, as the season came to a climax, he came under pressure from Ottery St Mary driver Ed Hollier.
Moore received the champions’ trophy and 300 for his success.
Having made some set-up changes to the suspension of the Suzuki Hayabusa powered racer in July, Hollier had a strong second half to the season reducing the points deficit but failing to usurp Moore’s advantage finally taking the runner-up slot a mere 0.77 of a point in arrears of Moore and his two litre Ford Cortina.
In securing second place Ed Hollier received The Eric Moxom Memorial Trophy, a replica and a cheque for 100 at an awards presentation evening staged at Wiscombe House where 100 guests celebrated his success.
