There were 28 ladies that played the qualifying round of a Ping golf competition at Sidmouth on Wednesday, writes Penny Ashby.

In first place were Penny Lyne and Sheila Thomson with 33 points.

Count back was used to determine the minor placing with Anna Bath and Coral Roberts second and Marie Timms and Julie Lye, both pairs finishing with 27 points.

All the golfing ladies are looking forward to next Wednesday’s competition sponsored by Fields.
