Through the winter months the Sidmouth ladies’ section play for the Rose Bowl and Rose Basket competition, writes Penny Ashby.
This Wednesday was the first of these outings and we all stayed mercifully dry if rather windswept!
Penny Lyne was the first winner of this series, with Sheila Thomson in hot pursuit as runner-up.
Next year’s captain, Liz Chance, managed to score a brace of twos in the course of her round, a most impressive feat!
