Sidmouth U10s 15, Cullompton U10s 5

Cullompton breezed into town last Sunday confident of their unbeaten record and soon went a try up against the slow starting Sidmouth boys.

However, having lulled the mid Devon outfit into a false sense of security, the second half trap was sprung and the muscular power play executed. Ollie Jones eventually romped in to equalise before Will Kennaugh proved too hot to handle with a trademark run carrying probably four red and blacks over with him.

The icing went on the cake with Cully quaking on their own line under a green wave of pressure. Merciless forward heat resulted in Cully serving up a gem of an interception pass which Kennaugh duly plucked from the air and pressed to the ground with a ‘thank you very much’ kind of grin !

In the 2nd game Cullompton returned the favour terrorising the Sidmouth defence notwithstanding the fact that they needed two or three of their more experienced players to do so. Sidmouth's forwards acquitted themselves well and Sam Bond and Cole Monaghan were the pick of the strike runners. Archie Rowe capped a strong performance at scrum half with a peach of a blind side try served up to him with perfect clean ball from the hard working forwards. Final score 1-5
