SIXTEEN competitors of all levels played for the Canton Trophy in blustery conditions, writes Colin Walls.
This tournament uses the Egyptian format, a modified knock-out in which everyone gets four games however they play.
The games saw some high scoring, with several peg-out finishes with all hoops run, a good achievement considering it was pretty difficult to time your swing between gusts. The morning saw Pam Bowra, Graham Harford, Roger Mills, and Colin Walls winning two games each.
In the afternoon, Roger Mills won both his games to emerge the champion, with Colin Walls second on points.
