Steve Milton carded a 42 point round to get his handicap cut to single figures for the first time, writes Chris Roberts.

However, ‘Seve’, as he is more affectionately known, only secured the victory over Kevin Howe on countback with both players scoring 42 points fro their respective rounds.

Seve’s two over gross back nine including three birdies was enough to take the countback and witnessing it personally the single figure handicap is long over due!

With the Friday League sponsor remembering to sign his card this week he picked up third spot with a good score of 38.

With only Mark Thomas finishing in the top places earning good league points it means he has managed to close the gap slightly on the leagues current leader James Spiller.
