In the Charles Stanley Monday Stableford Steve Milton fired an impressive gross 73 to win the competition with 41 points and with it a reduction in his handicap to 11, writes John Rockey.
Just edged into second place was Neil Holland whose six birdies were offset by two bogeys for a gross 62 which equated to 40 points and put him back to a plus-one handicap, which means that he has to birdie one hole and par all the rest to play to his handicap! A feat well beyond most players.
In third place was Dennis Gillson whose 40 points saw him edged out on count back for second place.
However Gillson did secure the consolation of winning the seniors section.
