The final weekend of September (29 and 30) sees the staging of the final, and deciding, round of the ASWMC Southern Counties Autocross Championship and the MSA Inter Association Challenge, writes Colin Anderson.

The weekend’s action takes place at Dalwood Hill in East Devon (EX13 7EU).

Local driver, Honiton-based Kieran Anderson, who works for SCS Porsche, will be trying to overcome the opposition to win the championship for the third time in four years when the action takes place over the two days.

A strong run of class and overall victories through the season has left him just needing a class win and maximum points to clinch the title.

Competitors from across the country, as far afield as Cramlington and West Sussex, in a variety of vehicles from Standard Production to highly modified and single seater specials, will be competing against the clock on a course set out on a grass field.

Practice runs start at 10am on Saturday with timed runs soon after and Sunday’s action from 9:30am. Admission is free and will be arrowed from the A35 at Shute Cross.
