Sidmouth CC held their AGM last Monday at The Fortfield Pavilion. A cross section of players and supporters attended the event.

Officers were elected as follows: Mike Dibble continues as chairman and other officers continuing in their current roles are Anthony Griffiths (secretary), Will Murray (1st XI captain), Graham Munday (fixtures secretary and 3rd XI captain), John Goodwin (ground) and Lynne Whitehall (welfare).

Matt Cooke was elected 1st XI vice captain and will also continue as club coach. After a lengthy break Charlie Dibble takes over the reins once again as 2nd XI captain. In a new role Saj Patidar will be chairman of a playing committee that will encompass all aspects of the playing side.

The club now has a vision statement which was adopted at the meeting. Maureen Bess was elected section treasurer and Rob Fowler is the new colts’ coordinator. Also elected were the various colts’ managers:Paul Newbery (U15s), Paul Dodds (U13), Rob Fowler (U12), Chris Fitzhenry (U11), Liz Seward (U11 Girls), Stuart Cload (U11 hardball pairs). The position of U10s softball manager remains vacant.

The main discussion of the evening surrounded the proposal from the Devon Cricket League regarding win / lose cricket throughout the Devon League. The majority of players were in favour of this.
