After Steve Le Roux sadly returned to South Africa with his family last year Sidmouth tennis men's team had a vacancy for a new captain.

Step up to the net Alex Spalding! A keen player, Alex's love of the game is matched only by his loss of humour when the demonic (-ish) serve misfires.

Having moved to Sidmouth three years ago, Alex is keen to repay the warm welcome shown by the club to him and all his tennis-playing family (rusty Helen and juniors Molly and Louis), and very much hopes to build on Sidmouth's successful return to competitive men's tennis in Devon last year.

New members - young and old - are always welcome, especially match-players. If you are interested please feel free to call Alex on 07711 090828.
