Regular organised croquet sessions start in earnest next week.On Wednesday, April 29, Golf Croquet enthusiasts can at last get going with games managed by Gabby Macadam. All members, including beginners, are welcome; just turn up and enjoy this very sociable form of the game. Sessions will be run from 10am to 1pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 4pm to 6.30pm on Fridays. On Friday, May 1, club afternoons for Association Croquet will also re-start, running from 1pm to 4pm. Games will be organised each week by a rota of experienced club members who will determine the play format. This will often be some short form of Association Doubles, beginners being paired with (and helped by) more seasoned players. All who attend can be assured of a game, but please turn up on time! New members are cordially invited to a "Meet the New Members" social gathering at 6pm on Wednesday, April 29, in the clubhouse - a chance to meet the committee and other members old and new whilst enjoying a drink and a few snacks.
