Newton Poppleford Reserves were far too strong for hosts Bradninch, beating the Mid Devon side 9-0 in a Macron League Division Eight match.

A goal as early as the third minute set the Popples up for their big win which takes them second in the table behind leaders Upottery Reserves. Upottery lead the way with a better goal difference, but have played two games fewer than the Popples.

On Saturday (October 29), the Popples second team entertain an Amory Green Rovers side that has won just once so far this term in their division eight campaign.

Popples first team sat out last weekend’s matches, they return to action with a Saturday visit to a Tedburn St Mary side that sit two places, and four points, above the Popples who currently occupy ninth spot in the Division Three table.
