East Devon has nine proud new black belts after a total of 720 TAGB Tae Kwon Do students from all over Britain gathered at the Bristol Academy, all hoping for promotion.

East Devon has nine proud new black belts after a total of 720 TAGB Tae Kwon Do students from all over Britain gathered at the Bristol Academy, all hoping for promotion.Dal Darlami from Honiton, Benjamin Kay, from Ottery St Mary, Adam Chapman and Martin Morgan from Broadclyst, were promoted to 2nd Dan.Ryan Vann and Daniel Corrick, from Sidmouth, Anna Ross, Abigail Ross and Emma Tozer, from Exmouth, were amongst the successful candidates. Emma's daughter Holly was promoted to "2 star" junior Black Belt. Their Instructor, Mr Guy Southard, 4th Degree Black Belt, commented: 'I always say that becoming a Black Belt is the beginning of learning a martial art, not the final goal, but it is still a significant achievement and every one of my students who attains Black Belt status thoroughly deserves to be proud of themselves.
