Northcott Brothers’ sponsored the Saturday competition at Sidmouth and it was their usual crazy format of Texas Scramble for the first six holes, followed by a modified better-ball and the last six holes was foursomes, writes Hugh Dorliac.
Apart from fog and rain interrupted games and some head scratching when it came to working out the scores, it was once again Trevor Kerridge and Allan Malcolm (see Potbury Trophy winners last week) who won with score of 43, scooping first prize.
Paul and Chris Lewis missed out on countback also with 43 and Lester Willmington and Paul Renken were third on 42.
The winning pair of the ladies prize were Sheila Faulkner and Yvonne Anning on 40 points.
Sidmouth golf club thank Northcott’s for their continued sponsorship and generosity, providing goodie bags and halfway house refreshments to all players on the day.
