Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC) ladies’ 2nds were 5-0 winners of their Sedgemoor Division Two home meeting with Taunton Civil Service.

In a bright start, SOHC took a 10th minute lead through Amy Oliver.

There was plenty of good possession hockey on show with some slick passing, but a second goal did not arrive until just before the break when sweeper Cassia Astley-Jones weaved her way up field before drilling the ball home.

In the second half, the SOHC control of the contest continued and, after Oliver had doubled her tally, further goals were scored by Karen Dutton and Chrissie Jacobs to seal an emphatic victory.

The SOHC Player of the Match award went to Cassia Ashley-Jones.
