The early season has been disrupted by the pandemic with several matches having to be cancelled until further directions are received from Bowls England.
However, following last week’s very successful Opening Drive, when club president David Rose started the season by bowling the first delivery, the green is now being used regularly by playing members.
The object of the game is to be able to position your own bowls as close to the jack as possible, but as always, some practice is needed.
In last week’s report, I mentioned an Open Day would be taking place. This is an occasion when anyone can come along to try the game and to see whether they would enjoy it or not.
The date is now confirmed as Sunday, May 16 from 10.00am, but under current restrictions you do need to book your place. Please call Mrs Gail Hawke on 01404 813065 or Clive Russell on 01404 822071.
