Sidmouth Festival Run, a 10k approx Multi Terrain event takes place on Sunday, August 10, 2008, starting at 11am at the Cliff Fields, Peak Hill, Sidmouth.

Sidmouth Festival Run, a 10k approx Multi Terrain event takes place on Sunday, August 10, 2008, starting at 11am at the Cliff Fields, Peak Hill, Sidmouth. There are mementoa to all finishers, trophies and prizes for the first three men and first three ladies home plus First M40, M50, M60, M70, F35, F45, F55EDDC Floating Trophies for first Local Man and Local Lady; Trophies for the first man and lady to reach the top of Peak Hill (Donated by The Engraver, Sidmouth Shopping Centre); Michelmores' Magnificent Trophies for the 1st men's and 1st ladies' teams of four runners. Entry Fees: £6 Affiliated, £8 unattached - £2 extra on the day. Apart from entries on the day the closing date will be Tuesday, August 5. Please send your entry form, SAE and cheque payable to Sidmouth Festival Run to: Bill Valentine, 16 Manstone Avenue, Sidmouth EX10 9TFMonday evenings have seen some preparatory training over the revised Festival Run course and this coming Monday will see a similar reconnaissance starting from the Mutters Moor Car Park at 6.45pm. This year there is a Fun Run at the same time as the Festival Run - starting at the foot of Cliff Fields and going just up to the fence at the top. Entries from all ages will be just £1 and will only be taken on the day.
