Otterton Football Club are enjoying a season full of balls, thanks to the fantastic sponsorship from Otter Valley Funerals.
Former Otterton goalkeeper Simon Savage, who operates Otter Valley Funerals, was forced to stop playing after sustaining a cruciate injury last year but wanted to support his club with a sponsorship deal.
Based in Budleigh, Ottery Valley Funerals is a family-run funeral directors and Simon’s football connections to the area go back 25 years, with Budleigh Salterton, East Budleigh and Otterton among his former clubs.
The sponsored footballs have been flying into the net with pleasing regularity for Otterton this season, with 32 goals scored from their opening 13 game and currently sit mid-table in Division 2 of the Joma Devon & Exeter League.
Otterton completed 2021 with a home game against Dunkeswell Rovers and will start the New Year with a trip to the University of Exeter 4ths on January 8.
