Both the Ottery St Mary senior XIs had their respective Tolchards Devon League fixtures cancelled as matchday 14 of the 18-match season was something of a washout across the board.
The 1st XI had been due to host Feniton while the 2nd XI were due to be at Woodbury and Newton St Cyres.
With so many matches falling to a similar watery fate there’s precious little change in the divisions that the two Ottery St Mary sides play in.
For the 1st XI, who sit fourth in C Division East, they begin their final three fixtures with this Saturday’s visit to Sidmouth, where they will meet a side that were knocked off top spot for the first time this season.
The Fortfield men went down in a 32-over rain-reduced match at new leaders Kilmington last weekend. The 2nd XI, who were going into their game at Woodbury and Newton St Cyres looking to leapfrog them in the E Division East table, will be looking for points in their home game against a Topsham St James 1st XI that saw their outside hopes of a top three finish in the section ended by rain washing out their home game against basement side - already relegated - Thorverton 2nds last weekend.
