It was a busy midweek of football in the Peninsula League and Ottery went down to a 6-3 defeat at Brixham in the East Division.
Marcus Fanson opened the scoring for the Otters but Brixham soon drew level, and twice led in a frenetic first-half, with Ashley Small on target for the visitors to make it 3-2 at the break.
A foul on Small then gave Liam Carey the chance to convert a penalty for 3-3 but Brixham took control in the latter stages to bag the points.
Axminster Town followed their fine win on the opening day with a battling 2-1 success over Cullompton, while Honiton opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Elmore.
Ivybridge edged past Elburton by a single goal and there was a 2-2 draw between Okehampton and Torrington.
In the Tuesday night games, Bovey Tracey beat Stoke Gabriel 3-2 and there were 1-1 draws between Crediton and Holsworthy, and Plymouth Marjon v Dartmouth.
