Pre-season is continuing to progress in positive fashion for Ottery St Mary Under-18s, as they secured an excellent 3-1 success at Launceston.
Luke Paramore and Jake Haggerty both went close early in the game for the Otters but, such is the way with football, chances missed are often punished, and it was the home side who snatched a half-time lead.
Ottery restarted with renewed determination and finally got their reward when a cross from Makan Coulibaly was calmly converted by Paramore.
Jack Drew-Cull took on the assist role for Ottery’s decisive second, threading a delightful pass for Zac Tilley to slot past the advancing Launceston ‘keeper.
The Otters were now in full flow and when Haggerty won the ball in midfield and released Drew-Cull, his angled shot confirmed a deserved 3-1 victory.
New signing Charlie Parker was awarded man of the match and manager David Haggerty was understandably proud of the performance.
