Ottery St Mary Reserves went down 4-0 at home to Fresha League Division Eight title favourites Culm United.
The Otters were below-par and second best for much of the contest.
However, what they did do in abundance was battle well and they traield by just a single goal at the break.
Culm are the divisions dominant force having won 13 of their 14 outings to date.
On Saturday (February 14) the Otters are without a game.
