Ottery St Mary ladies have begun pre-season training ahead of a new season of Westward Developments Devon League action.

The Ottery ladies will again play in Division One where they will come up against fellow East Devon-based outfits Budleigh, Axminster Town and Seaton Town as well as Halwill, Keyham Kolts, Plainmoor, and University of Plymouth.

The ladies train each Thursday evening (7pm) and Sunday afternoon (2-pm) at the club’s Washbrook Meadow home and any new players will always be given a warm welcome.

Ottery men’s manager Dave Fairweather says: “The ladies are looking for a few new faces and it anyone is looking to get into the game then I’d recommend that they get along to one of the sessions and make themselves known. We have a great bunch of ladies at the club and any new folk will not regret getting involved.”

The draw has been made for the opening round of the Division One KO Cup and it presented the Otters with an away game at Budleigh on Sunday, September 3.

The rest of the Division One draw is: The other ties are Axminster Town v Keyham Kolts, Halwill v Plainmoor and Seaton Town v University of Plymouth.
