Ottery St Mary begin a new Fresha League season tomorrow (Saturday) with a Division Six game at Washbrook Meadow (3pm) against Bradninch, writes Steve Birley.

The Otters are managed again this season by Mike Dawe and the opening game presents the side with a real opportunity to make a winning start given that the opposition were playing two divisions lower last season and find themselves in Division Six after Bradninch decided to operate this season with just the one team.

Ottery are then quickly back in action next midweek with as Wednesday night visit to Woodbury (6.30) and then they host Seaton Town Reserves tomorrow week.

Ottery St Mary are running two teams this term and the reserves will be managed by Stefan Gordon.

They too have a home game to launch their season, though in their case they must wait until Tuesday night (August 26) when they entertain Sidmouth Town Reserves.

Ottery Reserves warmed up for their first competitive match with a 6-0 win over Langdon in a contest that saw six different goal scorers!
