After a fine dinner, club captain Terri Ward and club president Maggie Beighton presented the trophies to the winners and runners-up in the club’s internal competitions that had been held in August.

It was pleasing to see quite a few new names on the trophies this year, a special mention to club champion Leighton Burston, who, although an experienced bowler, was successful in winning three events in his first year at the club.

Congratulations to ladies champion Sharon Kenny, who was also victorious in three competitions this year, indeed the club competitions attracted a record number of contestants which his fantastic for the 2019 summer season.

Thanks must also go to outgoing club captain Terri Ward, chairman John Ward and men’s captain Peter Jones, for their outstanding commitment and hard work over the last few years.
