Ottery St Mary began the second half of their Fresha League Division Six campaign just as they ended the first half – victorious, after a 6-2 home win over Langdon.
The Otters have now won all eight of their home league matches taking their goal tally to an impressive 41 at Washbrook Meadow with just five conceded.
The win, a 12th in 13 Division Six starts leaves the Otters a healthy nine points ahead of the rest of the field as they continue their march towards the section’s top honour.
Adam Harris scored another hat-trick to add to his growing tally of goals whilst there were single strikes from Jonny Beer, Connor Swingler and Jordan Rogers.
Ottery have now scored 71 goals in 19 league and cup outings this season. They chalked up a half century of goals back on November 29th with the landmark reached with their sixth and final goal in the Washbrook Meadow mauling of Railway Club.
They travel to Mid Devon on Saturday (January 11) with a visit to a Silverton side that sit tenth in the table having won four of their eight home matches so far this term.
The Silvers have not played since a December 27 4-3 home win over Railway Club. That was a second successive win as they also won the week before, defeating visiting Dunkeswell 2-0. Previously they had lost back-to-back home games, beaten by Bradninch and Woodbury, the latter their last defeat which came on December 6.
