Week five of the Sidmouth Leisure Centre Indoor Cricket League saw a thrilling encounter between Ottery and Newton Poppleford.
The outcome of the match was in the balance until the final ball with Newton Poppleford the one run winners.
The other matches played saw both the Clyst Hydon teams in action. Table topping Clyst Hydon A thrashed Tipton St John while Clyst Hydon B edged out Sidmouth in a low scoring match.
The November 13 results mean that Clyst Hydon A have moved further clear at the top of the table.
Clyst Hydon A have won all five of their matches. Everyone else in the league, with the exception of Clyst St George (one defeat in four games), have been beaten at least twice.
