There’s a big match taking place next Wednesday night (September 5) at the Washbrook Meadow home of Ottery St Mary.
It’s a fund raising match with the beneficiary to be the Ottery St Mary carnival which of course includes the iconic tar barrels!
The match on Wednesday is between an Ottery St Mary XI and an Ottery St Mary Carnival XI.
There’s to be a barbecue sizzling from 6.30pm at Ottery St Mary Football Club and the night’s main action gets underway beneath the Ottery floodlights from 7.30pm.
