The Ottery St Mary ladies team were winners when they played their opening match of a new season, writes Gina Cox.
The ladies were 6-2 winners over Cranford and they followed that up with an emphatic 8-1 win over Sampford Peverell in a contest that was played out in cold and windy conditions.
The Ottery mixed team are this year playing in Division Two once again and they began their campaign with an away game against Tunnels.
The weather was more suited to mid-winter, but the team enjoyed the outing, despite the conditions, and a 7-3 reversal.
Fortunes changed for the better in their second game which saw them win a close encounter at Sampford Peverell 6-5.
