The long wait for some action goes on for Ottery St Mary Reserves.
The Otters Reserve side were due to play their first game for nine weeks with a home match against Bampton Reserves.
However, the Ottery pitch continues to be waterlogged – it’s not alone as by late Friday afternoon 17 other Fresha League games had already been washed out as the wettest football season in recent times continues to see footballers left kicking their heels on a Saturday afternoon.
The Otters second string has seen their last five matches postponed and they were last in action back on December 12.
They’ll be hoping that the pitch at Broadclyst is fit for play on Saturday, February 20 when they’ll hope to take to the pitch for what will be their firs match for two long months and eight days!
Also off on Saturday (February 13) by early Friday evening were: Sidmouth Town versus St Martins (South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division) and the local Fresha League games at Tipton St John and Fluxton.
