Ottery St Mary tennis club is once again offering sessions for both juniors and seniors in the coming months, writes Gina Cox.

Starting from April 22, club coach Ray Puttick has put together a programme that will suite all ages and abilities. Ray has been coaching adults and running the junior Saturday club for several years now and is a level two tennis coach. There will be junior coaching and ‘rusty racket coaching’ provided.

The club plays on the King’s School MUGA courts at the East Devon Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoons and there are also club evenings held during the summer season on Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm.

Meanwhile, the club continues to compete in league tennis. The Ottery St Mary ladies team were most recently in action against Victoria Park A in a Division One, Exeter and District ladies League encounter. The fixture was lost 7-2 which means that the team have now completed six of their campaign matches; winning two and losing four and they have one more to play.

The club is always delighted to welcome new members and full details of all, the coaching and club activities on offer can be found on the club website at www.otterystmarytennisclub.com
