Ottery St Mary Under-13s powered their way into top spot in the Exeter and District Youth League Division Two table with a 6-2 success at Exeter side Central City.
The Otters served up a polished first half performance to lead 2-0 at the break, but Central came back twice and it was only in the last quarter of the game that the Otters eased into a 4-2 lead and then sealed the points with two more goals.
Connor McNamara-Campbell scored a hat-trick and the other Ottery goals came via a Sam Pyne brace and one from Toby Squance. Otter’s goalkeeper Jack Dallyn was once again the star of the show for his team making a number of magnificent saves.
Ottery coach Craig Allen said: “The whole team played their part, but young Jack (Dallyn) did impress once more.”
